40 Thieves of Saipan Released — 5 Comments

  1. I’m about a third of the way through reading “40 Thieves on Saipan”; that third has been most interesting meeting the characters (I mean actual people but they each have a distinct character, and thank you for being so good at describing their respective idiosyncrasies.

NOW just read the chapter on the landing on Saipan – and now nervous about what happens now, who might not make it, etc. Really has my attention. Great writing; great story – can’t put it down!

  2. I’ve just finished reading 40 Thieves on Saipan. Thank you for telling this facet of history. Chapter after chapter hard to put down as the unknowns developed and then revealed. As a society we are so fortunate to have children like Joseph Tachovsky that heard so little until after their parent passed away; thank you for pursuing all of the bits, for making friends with those few surviving your father, and for Cynthia Kraack, Savvy Literaty agent Lucia Gomez, Regnery History/Salem Communicatios & especially Joe Tachovsky for educating the world aboutsome Marine heroes. Excellent writing of a portion of WWII history.
