June 8: Out of Bad Times— 7 p.m. reading at Common Good Books, 38 S. Snelling Ave. in St. Paul, MN with Faith Sullivan, author of Cape Ann and other books about the Great Depression.

June 21: Women Behaving Badly— 7 p.m. book launch, reading and discussion at Open Book, 1011 Washington Ave. S., in Minneapolis. Three authors read from their genre works built around female protagonists. Beside Cynthia Kraack reading from Harvesting Ashwood: Minnesota 2037, Pam Leonard will read from her mystery series and Gary Lindberg will introduce his debut thriller novel, Shekinah Legacy. Following the readings, a discussion of women outside traditional literary genre will be led by Roger Barr, St. Paul author and playwright.
